United Safety Strengthens Fire Suppression Capability with Reacton Partnership

United Safety has announced a partnership with Reacton Fire Suppression, adding dry powder and dual-agent suppression systems to its portfolio and expanding its capability across industrial and mobile equipment fire risks.
Sam Malins, former CEO of Reacton and now Chief Global Business Development Officer at United Safety, explains what the partnership delivers and why it matters.

Filling a gap in the portfolio

United Safety already operates at scale across multiple suppression technologies and geographies. The addition of Reacton brings a proven dry powder and dual-agent capability for high-demand industrial and mobile equipment environments where those systems are essential.

"We bring a missing piece into United Safety's portfolio with our dry powder and dual-agent fire suppression systems." Sam Malins, Chief Global Business Development Officer, United Safety

Reacton brings an established product range, a recognised certification portfolio including UL 1254, P Mark SPCR 183, and AS 5062, and deep experience across sectors such as mining, heavy plant, and bus and coach. The combined offer is now considerably broader.

Faster and more consistent international delivery

Reacton holds a strong product position in key markets. United Safety brings the infrastructure to take that further, including distributor relationships, service capability, and operational footprint across multiple regions.

"With United Safety, there is already an established infrastructure in place across multiple regions. That allows us to scale more efficiently and support customers in a more coordinated way, particularly those operating across different countries." Sam Malins, Chief Global Business Development Officer, United Safety

For operators managing fleets or sites internationally, this means better system availability and more consistent support, without the fragmentation of working with different regional providers.

Engineering and service, properly connected

A key strength of the combined organisation is the integration of manufacturing with installation and ongoing service delivery.

United Safety's operational model, grounded in how systems are deployed and maintained in the field, aligns closely with Reacton's approach through Fireward, which supports installation, servicing, and technical support.

The outcome is a more complete service offering, backed by international capability and the engineering standards both businesses are built on.

Meeting what the market now demands

Operators are under increasing pressure to demonstrate that their equipment is protected by certified, independently tested systems. They also need providers who can support those systems consistently, wherever they operate.

"There is increasing expectation for providers to deliver complete solutions that include installation and ongoing service support across different geographies. Operators are working across multiple regions and environments, which places more emphasis on consistency and reliability." Sam Malins, Chief Global Business Development Officer, United Safety

United Safety is now positioned to meet that expectation across a broader range of applications and markets. The Reacton partnership is a significant part of how it gets there.
