At Beckers RAK, Maintenance Engineer Mr. Ahmed recognised this risk early. Despite having comprehensive fire protection throughout the factory, including a full foam sprinkler system, the electrical rooms remained less protected. *“I recognised the potential fire hazards and short circuits associated with electrical cabinets and components,” explains Ahmed. “When I raised this with management, they acknowledged the gravity of the situation and supported my proposal to find the best system available.”.* The challenge was to find a targeted, reliable and sustainable solution that could contain electrical fires at their source without damaging sensitive equipment or requiring major installation changes. ## Engineering a Smarter Safeguard After evaluating several options, Beckers selected Reacton’s cabinet-based fire suppression system, a pre-engineered, automatic solution designed to detect and extinguish fires directly within electrical enclosures. The system now complements the factory’s foam sprinkler coverage by addressing previously underprotected electrical areas. ## The Results Since installation, Beckers RAK has significantly strengthened its fire resilience strategy, particularly within high-risk electrical environments. The system operates independently, providing round-the-clock protection that automatically activates in the event of heat or flame detection.
