In 2026, Reacton was named a recipient of the King's Award for Enterprise: Innovation - one of only 52 organisations across the United Kingdom to be recognised in this category, and personally approved by His Majesty The King.
Recognised for innovation
The Award recognises Reacton's work designing, manufacturing, and selling automatic fire suppression systems for some of the most demanding environments in the world - from the engine bays of mining vehicles to the hydraulic compartments of agricultural and construction machinery, waste processing equipment, and marine installations.
Our systems are built around a fundamentally different approach. Rather than relying on electrical sensors and complex wiring, a specially engineered detection tube runs through the area being protected. The tube itself senses heat and releases the suppressant in the same moment - no power supply needed, no electronics to fail, no delay.
Fewer parts. Fewer points of failure. A faster response when it matters most.
It is this engineering principle, refined across a full product range over ten years of real-world deployment, that the King's Award recognises.
A decade of engineering, built in the UK
Reacton began with a small team, a workshop, and a conviction that fire suppression could be engineered better than the industry standard at the time. Over the following decade, that conviction became a full range of automatic fire suppression systems - designed, built, and tested in the United Kingdom, and deployed by customers across mining, agriculture, construction, waste, and marine sectors on multiple continents.
The King's Award for Enterprise: Innovation 2026 is recognition of that work, and of the people who have spent ten years getting it right.
