Electrical Fire Protection

Automatic Fire Suppression for Electrical Panels and Equipment is vital due to the high risk of potential fires.  They are designed to offer uninterrupted support for your business but are often taken for granted. Not only is the critical function of the electrical cabinet compromised in a fire scenario it could spread to surrounding equipment causing devastating damage.

Outdated infrastructure, faulty wires, poor maintenance and overloaded circuits are all risk factors for electrical fire.

The key to minimal fire damage is early detection and suppression to provide fast fire protection.  The Clean Agent fire suppression system from Reacton is installed directly at the point of the fire risk providing faster detection and suppression than conventional external fire detection systems.

Reacton has a solution that will directly protect your critical assets and safeguard your business continuity, this is achieved with the Automatic Clean Agent Fire suppression system.

The Clean Agent fire suppression technology offers protection for your Class A, B & C risks and can be designed to allow for leakage and certain ventilation conditions.

The proven pneumatic fire detection system requires no electricity to operate giving you full peace of mind that there is 24/7 protection with zero false alarms. It will quickly and safely detect and deliver the agent at any location the Reacton Detection Tube is installed.

For further peace of mind, testing standards accurately verify the system's performance, covering detailed and specific fire testing, discharge & flow testing along with gruelling temperature, ageing, leakage, burst and corrosion tests.

The system employs a specialist Clean Agent that provides rapid fire suppression, leaving no residue, non-corrosive and completely non-conductive. Combined with the detection and discharge at the source of the fire your system can be back up and running in no time.

Available in a range of fire extinguisher system sizes with modular or multi-zone protection methods, protecting your critical asset has never been so easy. Simple to transport replacements mean fast and extremely cost-effective full life cycle costs.

We protect all sizes of panels, from small electrical boxes to rooms filled with electrical enclosures. Regardless of the size or amount of enclosures, Reacton® can offer cost-effective fire protection to your risk.

High Performance Electrical Fire Suppression Systems

Electrical Panels & Equipment fires will usually start out of sight and in an enclosed space. This means that the fire suppression system needs to be reliable and ready to protect your hazard in a fully autonomous configuration. This is why Reacton put their systems through arduous testing programs.

Our Electrical Panels & Equipment system features include:

  • Systems & components tested by leading laboratories
  • Certified system and component leakage testing
  • Certified system and component ageing testing
  • Certified system and component corrosion testing
  • Certified detection tube testing & analysis

Why Use Clean Agents For Electrical Panels?

Clean Agents are the leading choice for automatic fire suppression when rapid protection & zero clean-up is required for your sensitive electrical equipment. All systems are stored as a liquid and discharged as a gaseous vapour. They work at a molecular level by removing the thermal energy of a fire to an extent where the combustion reaction cannot sustain itself.

Reacton’s Clean Agent range consists of 3M™ Novec™ 1230 Fire Protection Fluid and FM-200™ waterless fire suppressant from Chemours™. These can be discharged in both direct and indirect fire suppression systems.

We have the world's first UL Listing to UL2166 for Direct (DLP) Technology Clean Agent systems and we also hold UL2166 Listing for Indirect (ILP) Technology.

All products are recognised and listed in standards such as ISO 14520 & NFPA 2001.

Reacton Clean Agent extinguishing mediums all have the following approvals:

  • Underwriters Laboratories (UL)
  • Underwriters Laboratories of Canada (ULC)
  • Factory Mutual (FM)
  • Significant New Alternatives Policy (SNAP) listed through the United States Environment Protection Agency (U.S. EPA)
