Laboratory Fume Hoods

Laboratory fume hoods are constantly exposed to reactive, corrosive, toxic and flammable substances. So the likelihood of a fire is very high, especially when you introduce heat sources such as gas burners and hot plates.

The interaction of a building sprinkler system or nearby fire extinguisher will not provide the quick protection required but may also increase the risk by reacting to the substances.
